Research project:
The magazine ads are digitally retouched and ridden from their products, branding and other type. Leaving the bare visual surroundings. The hidden connotations are revealed. A constantly renewed index of eroticized glitter and abstracted glamour unfolds. Esthetics of consumption are laid bare in the process.

 

 

 

 

Magazine campaings for D&G fragrances Luis Vuitton handbags or other luxury products are the object of Robert’s brilliant research project. Robert finds inspiration in the engaging, subtle, and often clever invasion of our imagination by lifestyle magazine advertisements. His Publication “Hidden Persuaders” is the result of a critical research; a subliminal pamphlet of sorts, in the form of an image essay of magazine length denouncing the triumph of materialism.
